EveryMatrix – “We’re outta here”

Well that escalated quickly.

After my post two weeks ago highlighting that EveryMatrix were in trouble with the UKGC and had had their licence suspended, they’ve thrown in the towel on their B2C operations in the UK.

It can’t have been an easy decision to make despite the speed at which it was made – EveryMatrix has been operating white label businesses since 2014 and had enjoyed steadily increasing growth in the area – but the company have decided to pull the plug.

This will certainly be a cause for concern for other gambling companies who will surely be double checking that their affairs are in order.

Is This a Knee Jerk Reaction?

Bad Publicity

If you mean have EveryMatrix had a tantrum and thrown their toys out of the pram, then I don’t think so.

The suspension of their operating license hit them hard, not just in terms of immediate income but also in terms of reputation, with customers and businesses alike. Trust is everything in this game and a tarnished reputation can be difficult to get clean, even if you have been squeaky up until that point.

As Ebbe Groes, CEO of EveryMatrix put it:

“We regret the impact this suspension has had on our loyal players, on our brands, and on our long-standing white label partners in UK, but this business has by now become unsalvageable.”

As you can tell, real damage has been done to the business so their decision seems to be genuine.

The B2B Space

Everymatrix SolutionsIt should be made clear that the company’s B2B side was never called into question and they will continue to provide these services to businesses worldwide including the UK. This was actually EveryMatrix’s main avenue of business so they should be able to survive the impact of recent events.

Their plan for the future was outlined thus:

“We will use this highly unfortunate event as positive as we can and we are keen on maintaining EveryMatrix’s leading role as a provider in the B2B space, in the UK and globally. This is where our company has enjoyed tremendous growth in the past several years and we will now focus even harder on this.”

So it’s a sad day for those of you who bet with Jetbull and the like, but there are plenty of other bookies still using EveryMatrix products integrated into their sites, which is good news for punters because despite this unfortunate hiccup the company offer industry leading solutions that it would be a real shame to lose.
