The bet was actually a very clever one, with some selections that were pretty close to being related markets, but not close enough.<\/p>\n
This even led to a number of commenters calling fakery or foul play, with accusations of the bet being photoshopped flying about.<\/p>\n
I don’t think that’s the case though, especially since the bet was placed with Bet365 who would be all over any sort of media scandal if it existed.<\/p>\n

- Over 5 corners in the match<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
You see, quite clever, because of course if the full time score is 2-2- the chances of it going to penalties is much higher, but not quite related markets.<\/p>\n
Anyway, the bet had odds of 170\/1 and George staked \u00a320.03 on it, so when it came in he bagged \u00a34,276.40, which included a 25% winning boost.<\/p>\n
Pocket money to him no doubt, but in terms of bragging rights it’s a doozy.<\/p>\n
What’s more, there are quite a few easy wins on that acca if you ask me. Messi and Mbappe to score aren’t exactly big calls, neither were the card and corner shouts, but that 2-2 draw at full time was bold.<\/p>\n
That was the bet on which the acca hinged if you ask me.<\/p>\n
